Become a Birth Doula
Join Rhonda and HC for a weekend packed with tips and tools to prepare you to support expectant families during their birthing time.
As active doulas we give real birth examples and up-to-date information about the current state of the birth world. Our training not only gives the fundamentals of supporting families but also the importance of doulas as advocates related to bias and discrimination. Please note that your certificate of completion issued after training weekend allows for access to all birthing facilities in our local area.
Must attend LIVE the entire weekend in order to receive your certificate of completion for birth doula training. Hybrid option of Zoom with camera on and/or InPerson (Holistic Continuum in Hopkins, MN) Training Weekend is Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm CST with one hour lunch break where we have InPerson Potluck and half hour dinner break.
We recommend you register for CAB doula training weekend early to save your spot and begin to complete your PreWork. PreWork includes self study and online modules.
We highly recommend that you take a childbirth education series and lactation class before or in conjunction with your doula training weekend. CAB Lactation for Birthworkers is offered on the Thursday before training weekend and at a discounted rate to you.
We are an independent doula training. CAB is recognized by the State of MN as a Doula Certifying Organization. If you continue with full CAB Doula Certification with CAB you can join the Doula Registry of MN.
Pricing
We have a voluntary tiered pricing format where you choose the tier that is most suitable for the value you place on your training and instructors; and your individual financial situation while we offer transparency regarding the cost of training. All participants will receive the same high quality training from Rhonda and Heather Christine no matter which tier selected to pay.
In order to offer financial flexibility, we require $250 as a downpayment at registration then we offer payment plans where we request that at least half of your training fee be paid prior to the start of our training weekend and paid in full by Sunday of training weekend. Email us with any questions regarding pricing or making payments.
Tier I $500—This is a rate that is best referred to as a scholarship rate and does not reflect the true cost of the training.
Tier II $700—This rate best accounts for the cost of training.
Tier III $900—This rate covers the cost of training, better wage for both instructors, overhead and allows us to continue offering Tier I pricing.
